Crater Lake Academy is pleased to announce the addition of three new members to its school board: Kim Scafani, James Mannanbach, and Caitlin Lyon. The new board members bring a wealth of experience and fresh perspectives to CLA.

Kim Scafani -

Board Member Kim S.

Kim was raised in northern Nevada and moved to Southern Oregon in 2005. She is a retired emergency dispatch operator and currently owns and operates a local small business. Kim is a wife and mother who believes if you don’t stand for something, you’ll fall for anything. A CLA parent, she has become an active school volunteer. Kim has been a member of CLA’s PTO, the Finance Committee, and school improvement meetings. In her spare time, she volunteers with CASA and her church.

James Mannanbach -

Board member James M.

James is a lifelong Eagle Point resident, adding school and college locally. After earning a Doctorate in Physical therapy, he started a family in Eagle Point with his wife Ana. They now have three children who all attend CLA. He has previously worked at a local physical therapy clinic before joining the Southern Oregon ESD team as Department Chair for the Orthopedically Impeded Program. James has also volunteered throughout the region, including as a member of the Eagle Point City Council and a founding member of the CLA Board of Directors in 20214.

Caitlin Lyon -

Board Member Caitlin L.

Caitlin was born and raised in Southern Oregon, going to school and now raising a family locally. Education has always been near to Caitlin’s heart, as she holds a Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education with a minor in Early Childhood Development from Southern Oregon University. Through a robust record of volunteerism, including serving as the chair of the Asante Children's Miracle Network Committee, she has demonstrated her passion for working with children and families. Professionally, Caitlin has been a member of the Rogue Credit Union team for nearly eight years, previously working in Marketing and currently as part of the Executive Services team. Caitlin and her husband, Keith, are proud to be CLA parents.

The CLA school community is very excited to have Kim, James, and Caitlin join the CLA Board with current members John Parsons and Amanda Stone.
